In compliance of the Order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 23/03/2012 passed in I.A No. 16/2012 in Civil Appeal No. 1944 of 1993 – Anand S.Biji Vs State of Kerala & Others and in order to comply with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 09/5/2017 passed in Writ Petition© No.267 of 2017 –Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust & Ors Vs MCI & Ors. Directorate General of health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility to hold on-line counselling for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats and also as per the notification issued by the MCI for common counselling

  • MCC will conduct counselling for the following Institutions/Universities:–
  • 50% All India Quota seats of all states (participation of the Union Territory of J&K is subject to their contribution of seats).
  • 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling duly uploaded on MCC website.
  • 100% seats of Deemed Universities.
  • 50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
  • All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions(only Registration part).
  • Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur(50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University).

Students may note the following points:–

For participation in NEET PG Counselling 2020 candidates are required to go for Registration at official website of Medical Counselling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in).

Candidates to note that Non- Refundable registration fees and Refundable Security Deposit have to be paid by the candidate at the time of registration as per their category.

The Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Round-2 / Mop Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round will be Forfeited.

Reservation of seats under PwD Category will be 5% as per Gazette Notification of MCI.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2024

Medical graduates who wish to pursue their postgraduate courses are required to fulfill NEET PG 2024 eligibility criteria. he National Board of Education (NBE) will release its information brochure in the first week of November, and all the details like eligibility criteria, important dates, guidelines, marking schemes, exam patterns, etc. will be explained in it. The eligibility criteria for NEET PG include all important criteria that candidates should fulfill, like age, qualification, nationality, domicile, etc.

  • Candidates in possession of an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 30th June 2023, may apply for NEET-PG 2024 through online application system at website https://nbe.edu.in
     
  • Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET-PG 2024 will not be permitted to appear in the examination and/or counseling. In the unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the NEET-PG 2024, the results/ candidature of such candidates shall be canceled and/or are deemed to be canceled.
     
  • Requests for appearing in NEET-PG 2024 from candidates completing internship after 30th June 2024 or having qualifications that are not recognized as per the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed IMC Act, 1956 shall be summarily rejected. Candidates are further advised not to canvass for the same.
     
  • The dates indicated by candidates with regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship in the application form (i.e. internship starting and completion date) shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of counseling/admission in the allotted Medical College/Institute.
     
  • The cut-off dates for the recognition of the Medical Colleges, from where the candidates have passed their MBBS Degree Course and completed compulsory rotatory Internship for the year 2024 will be as prescribed by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India. The Colleges recognized after the cut-off date prescribed by the NMC will not be considered.
     
  • Registration with the NMC the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council is necessary, and its documentary proof should be furnished by the candidates on the day of examination and at the time of counseling/admission.
     
  • Some Universities/Institutions have regulations that candidates who are already pursuing the PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course. The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota/State quota seats may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NBE/MoHFW/Designated Counseling Authority shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost.
     
  • The definition of NRI for admission to Deemed University shall be as per the Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 22/08/2017 in WP 689/2017.
     
  • Eligibility of candidates issued admit cards for the examination shall be purely provisional. Appearing in NEET-PG 2024 does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.

     

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2024—Foreign Medical Graduates

Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) as per Screening Test Regulations, 2002 which is conducted by The National Board of Examinations. Further, they should have been registered with the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and should have completed their internship or are likely to complete their internship on or before 30 June 2024. Foreign Medical Graduates are required to bring their FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBE on their testing day along with the provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by a medical council.
 

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2024—Foreign Nationals

 It is not mandatory for foreign nationals to have temporary registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) at the time of writing NEET-PG. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-PG without registration with NMC. The NMC may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the postgraduate course limited to the medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted for the time being exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies. Provided further that temporary registration to such a foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such a person is duly registered with appropriate registering authority in their own country where they have obtained their Basic Medical qualification and are duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority.”
 

NEET PG 2024 Exam Pattern

  • NEET-PG 2024 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer-based examination in the first week of March 2024.
  • Syllabus:The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subject/knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the erstwhile Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt of India.
  • The examination shall be multiple choice questions delivered using a computer network (CBT) as per a scheme prescribed. The exam comprises 200 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. The time allotted is 3 hrs 30 min.
  • There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
  • During the examination, candidates are given the option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review, which means that the candidate has been given the option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. Candidates may note that such questions that are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme mentioned above.
     

NEET PG Admit Card
 

  • The Admit Card for NEET PG 2024 will be available online on the official website for eligible candidates prior to the examination. Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website by entering the required details. Admit cards will contain details like name, roll number, exam date & timing, and exam center.
  • Candidates have to bring an admit card along with one photo ID card like a PAN card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc. to appear in the examination. Without an admit card, candidates cannot enter the examination hall.
     

NEET PG Result 2024

  • The Result of NEET PG exam 2024 will be declared by the competent authority probably in the month of March-April 2024. Candidate can obtain the result by accessing the official portal using their roll number/registration number, etc.
  • Thereafter, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained and a Rank Card will be issued accordingly. The Rank Card is an important document that has the candidate’s score and All India Rank.
     

NEET PG 2024 Counselling

  • On the basis of the NEET PG 2024 result, the eligible candidates can participate in the counseling process. Directorate General of Health Science (DGHS) and Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will facilitate the process for 50% of All India Quota seats. For the remaining 50% of seats, counseling will be done by State authorities. Final admission will be based on NEET PG score, choice filled, and number of seats available.
  • The candidates must keep ready all the relevant documents, as the competent authority will verify all the original documents during the counseling process. If anyone fails to produce relevant documents, then his/her candidature shall be liable to be cancelled. Admission will be allotted to the students purely on the basis of merit.
